Digital thermometers are used to make it easier to calibrate a temperature sensor by comparing the value indicated by the latter with the value indicated by the digital thermometer, both fitted in a calibrator or thermostatic bath.
Using a digital thermometer makes calibrations easier and more accurate, as you can take as the reference temperature the value indicated by the thermometers, previously certified by national measuring and calibration centres.
The various kinds of sensors are suitable to solve issues during the measurement of temperature of air, water or metal objects with an operating range from -200 to 1370°C.
